What are typical referrals?
- Pruritic skin diseases
- Alopecia
- Chronic & recurring skin disorders including pyoderma, Malassezia dermatitis and otitis
- Endocrine, immune-mediated and neoplastic diseases
- Any skin condition not responding to empirical therapy
The dermatology service includes:
- In-house cytology & skin scrapings
- In-house lab
- Allergy testing including serological and intradermal testing
- Allergen-specific Immunotherapy
- Development of individualised management plans
- 24-hour veterinary & nursing care
- On site CT scan
Weekly Clinics
Weekly clinics are available at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital Leeds. Kirsten is always happy to discuss cases prior to referral.

For medication withdrawal times for intradermal allergy testing please contact me directly to discuss.
For cases that might require biopsies, please advise your clients to discontinue glucocorticoids prior to the appointment. (oral short acting – minimum 2 weeks, long acting formulations – 2 weeks + duration of action).
